Welcome reception |
Brussels Town Hall
September 26, 2012 | 20:00 - 22:00
Address: Grand Place, Brussels Belgium 1000
Cost: Free for CYBER17 Attendees!
Description: The Brussels Town Hall is one of the Belgium's finest civic buildings. Not only because of the numerous sculptures adorning its walls, but also because of its perfect proportions and the incomparable beauty of its tower, the spire of which is topped by the archangel Saint Michael, Brussels laid the foundation stone of the magnificent Gothic edifice in the spring of 1402. In 1695, when the city was bombarded by Marshal de Villeroy, the Town Hall was destroyed by fire. Its reception rooms and alderman's offices contain fine Brussels tapestries from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, sumptuous Gothic wooden panelling, the insignia of ancient guilds and paintings from the collections at the Town Hall Museum. This will be a great networking opportunity for all involved in the CYBER17 Conference. We hope to see you there!

Le Chalet Robinson
September 27, 2012 | 20:00 - 22:00
Address: Sentier de l'embarcadere 1 - 1000 Brussels
Cost: $65 per person
Description: After having slept for over 15 years in the shadows of the Cambre woods, the mythical Chalet Robinson once again stands up from its ashes for a new destination. After crossing the lake in one of its famous boats, we arrive at the Robinson island. We take just a few steps and find ourselves facing a magnificent wooden chalet that looks like the one of our childhood dreams. Today, the Chalet is ready for a new life. Today, it becomes a restaurant, the ideal location for a family dinner or a business lunch, to enjoy a cup of tea, to indulge in a cocktail or an aperitif, to relax after dinner in the lounge, to enjoy the sunshine on the terrace. It also comes with a jetty and a reception area for intimate parties or unforgettable get-togethers, and much, much more. The cedar Chalet Robinson is located on the island that bears the same name. It is a forgotten paradise at the heart of the Cambre Woods and the capital of Europe, on an island where optimism will now find a refuge and a warm welcome.
